Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website startrace.me and the Startrace add-ons and browser extensions ("Startrace", "we", "us"). Startrace is run by an independent software developer. We collect as little as possible and we never sell data or use it for advertising.
Google user data
Startrace Clean & Dedupe (Google Sheets add-on) accesses:
- The spreadsheet you have open, only when you run the add-on, and only that file. The add-on reads the cells you selected, compares them and, if you choose, highlights, moves or deletes duplicate rows or trims extra spaces. This happens on Google's servers. Spreadsheet content is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we never store it.
- Your Google account email address, sent to our license server as a Google-signed identity token when you run the add-on. We use it only to count your free runs and to unlock paid features if you subscribed with that email.
We do not access any other file, your contacts, your Gmail or your Drive.
Startrace's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the service (our hosting provider, below) or as required by law.
AI processing
Clean & Dedupe uses no AI. If a future Startrace tool offers an AI feature, its store listing and this policy will say so before release. Such a feature would send only the cells you choose, only when you run it, to Google's Gemini API on a paid plan under which Google does not use the data to train its models. We would not store that content or send it to any other AI provider.

Data is stored with Cloudflare, Inc. in the United States and other Cloudflare locations.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details. We receive your email address and order details to unlock your subscription, send your license key and give support.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@startrace.me. We answer within 30 days. You can remove an add-on at any time in Google Sheets under Extensions → Add-ons → Manage add-ons, and revoke its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Children
Startrace is made for adults at work. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. For material changes we will say so on this site before they take effect.
